I offer these photos, not because they are of me, but because they illustrate some aspects of our club life. This one is of Paul Ellis and myself in June 1996, on the eastern-most lookout of the Four Lookouts Walk. These 4 give great views of the Shoalhaven Gorge and also of the confluence of the Kangaroo River with the Shoalhaven River. Others could perhaps identify the distant "blue" point on the left.
This photo is of myself in September 1997 on a rock at a lookout which overlooks the upper Shoalhaven Gorge down from Bundanoon. Barbara Robertson took this photo because she wanted a photo of an idiot with a funny hat, a weird staff and a decrepit Paddy Pallin rucsac seated in a glory of wildflowers and shrubs.
This photo (and the next) from November 1996 were taken from above the boat ramp at Hyams Beach with HMAS Creswell in the background. Julie Walter took these photos because of her interest in my "decrepit Paddy Pallin rucsac" 1938 (?) vintage.
