All Shoalhaven Bushwalkers should be aware that personal accident insurance and ambulance cover is not included in their club membership. The club recommends that you get private health insurance if you feel that Medicare and the Public Health System are not adequate for your needs.
However, the club strongly recommends that all Shoalhaven Bushwalkers should arrange their own ambulance cover as we often participate in strenuous activities over rough terrain where the possibility of injury is greater than normal. We also tend to walk in remote locations where the subsequent cost of a medical evacuation, possibly by helicopter, could be significant.
